A Triple Threat

Beliveau Farm’s annual Grape Stomping Festival took a break last year in order to prepare for something bigger and better. Thankfully, it was well worth the wait! The weekend of fun kicked off on Saturday, August 31st and continued as we welcomed September on Sunday. This event was our first ever “Triple Threat,” with grape stomping, “Trinkets & Treasures” secondhand shopping, and the kickoff of our summertime “Upick” grapes. Entry was completely FREE with stomping tickets and grape picking bags available for purchase.

Saturday’s stomping took place to the beat of all of your favorite classic hits and dance songs. The weather held out for the majority of the day, and guests were able to crush our Vidal Blanc grapes until after 4pm. On Sunday, we were joined by DJ Pat Worley of Bald Man Entertainment to elevate the stomping experience. We got a small amount of rain, but we couldn’t even tell as our tubs were conveniently placed underneath a large, rain-proof tent. That’s right - these aren’t just any small bucket - our extra large tubs are lined with cattle railings and stand higher than three feet tall! There was no time limit to stomp, and many guests took full advantage and grooved to the beat for as long as possible. Adults weren’t the only ones getting their energy out, either. Our children’s tub was smaller and more accessible at a reduced ticket price. This is one of our favorite yearly events to bring the whole family!

Alongside the fun, we set up our very first annual “Trinkets & Treasures” secondhand market. Vendors were welcomed to bring new, used, and repurposed items to sell to a new home. Beliveau Farm’s owner Joyce even set up her own booth to share some of her favorite treasures with everyone. This came perfectly in time for college move-in weekend right down the road. We have no doubts that shoppers had a lovely selection of “new to you” items and furniture.

Of course, we can’t forget about our popular “Upick” grapes event, which is held every summer during harvest season. The Concord vines ripened just in time to launch during our “Trinkets & Treasures” Grape Stomping weekend, officially making it a “Triple Threat.” Customers had the option of purchasing either a small or a large bag to fill with as many grapes as they could. After some guidance into the vineyard and a quick clipping lesson, they were set loose to pick, snack, and enjoy a portion of our 13 acres of vines. There are so many possibilities with this classic grape varietal, from jams to juices to wine. We made sure everyone remembered to taste a few fresh from the farm!

Bringing life back to an old, classic event can be difficult, but it was certainly worth the effort and challenge this time around. We are so excited to make it even better in 2025. Did we miss you this time around? Hopefully we will see you next year!

Cheers!

We couldn’t resist the urge to join in on the party! Our Bed & Breakfast Innkeeper Megan had a blast stomping to the beat.
