a meal to remember

Saturday, August 19th, Beliveau Farm Winery hosted our first event at our brand new Sugar Shack! The event was our annual “Dine In The Vines” which featured a 5 course meal paired beautifully with Beliveau’s finest wine selections. Our new chef, Daniel Ehrich, executed a delectable menu all prepared and served by Beliveau’s amazing staff. The menu itself consisted of:

  1. Herbed cheese topped with caramelized onions and lavender jam paired with our Vidal Blanc, Destiny ‘20.

  2. Summer Harvest Salad featuring peaches and a homemade peach vinaigrette laid upon a whole romaine heart leaf paired with our Summer Rosé ‘20.

  3. Brussel Brochette consisting of prosciutto, tomato, basil & mozzarella sandwiched between two roasted brussels sprout halves paired drizzled with Italian oil and balsamic vinaigrette paired with our new Pinot Gris vintage, Kaleidoscope ‘21.

  4. The entrée was a choice between the Roasted Rosemary Salmon with Caper Sauce paired with Crown Jewel ‘19, a Vidal Blanc & Traminette blend. Or the Summer Roasted Duck with a Kohlrabi Pineapple Slaw paired with our new Chambourcin vintage, Warm Glow ‘21.

  5. Dessert was a Dark Chocolate Mousse, 2 Mini Strawberry Fruit Tarts & our dessert wine, Transformation ‘17.

The tables were elegantly decorated with pink roses and candlelit lanterns laid upon a white table cloth. The courses were plated on top of a shining gold charger laid next to two wine glasses that were used to perfectly align our wine pairings for each course.

The ambiance of the evening was warm and serene as guests were able to dine under the orange and pink sunset that soon relaxed into a starry night sky. With the mountain breeze the night was cool and inviting, even to some unexpected guests…. During the early courses of the event, guests took a look out over the property and had a free show from a friendly black bear. As he rolled and pranced around the hills, the guests and the staff all had a good laugh over such a fun and exciting moment.

During their meal, guests were entertained by Renate, a classical guitarist. She played throughout the evening and night and elevated the overall experience. We want to thank her sincerely and hope to have her back again for more upcoming events!

As always, our guests were wonderful and we hope they enjoyed the night as much as we did! If you are interested in joining us next year for “Dine In The Vines” or want to attend similar events, follow our social medias and visit our website frequently to keep up to date with upcoming events.
